Study: Metatranscriptome of the marine sponge Axinella polypoides
show Abstracthide Abstract
Total RNA from a single individual of Axinella polypoides collected from the Limsky Bay, Mediterranian Sea was isolated. A stranded TruSeq mRNA library was prepared and sequenced using the HiSeq2000 platform in Macrogen Inc. The majority of the reads (> 2/3) belong to the ribosomal RNA, originating from both the host and concominant organisms. This part of the data should be taken into consideration in the interpretation of the mRNA data.
